Colón de Santa Fe striker Esteban Fuertes (left) had the opener in the 2:1 win over Racing Club on Tuesday in Argentina’s top league to push aside Corinthians striker Iarley and capture the lead in the FTBL world ranking of forwards over 35 years of age.
It was Fuertes’ first game of the year. He added 16.63 points in our system to push his overall score up to 99.75 points. He is now almost 10 points ahead of Iarley (89.97 points). The Brazilian has no official game schedule any time soon.
Fuertes will face a daunting plank of 24.18 points in his next game. That should provide a chance for Juventus’ Alessandro Del Piero (80.96 points) to grab the top spot, despite the fact that he trails by almost 20 points. His plank to beat in his next game will be just 1.54 points.
