The stricter limit on foreign players in the Russian Premier League may deprive Spartak Moscow of their principal goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa. The player's agent Marko Naletelic confirmed that several foreign clubs are interested in the Croatian.
"Stipe is very happy at Spartak, and he has shown his professionalism on several occasions during games", says his agent. "But many foreign players in Russia are now looking for other clubs, the reason being the new stricter limit on non-Russian players. The transfer window closes on 2 February, so we have a week to iron out all the formalities. By then we will be able to say whether or not Pletikosa will be staying in Moscow".
Meanwhile, Spartak's ranks will be swelled in the near future by another Croatian player - 19 year-old midfielder Filipp Obozic. A contract with Obozic was signed three years ago, after which he went on loan to Zadar in the Croatian Premier Division. The midfielder will join Spartak at the end of the Croatian championship.
