Goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, who has acted as understudy to Petr Cech at Chelsea for many years, has moved to Tottenham as a free agent.
The 35 year-old Italian expects finally to become No.1 at Spurs, who are currently fighting to stay in the Premiership, replacing injured Brazilian keeper Heurelho Gomes.
Cudicini spent over ten years at Chelsea, but in all that time was only first-choice goalkeeper for a short period - from Dutchman Ed de Goey's retirement until the arrival of Petr Cech.
While at Chelsea Carlo Cudicini won two Premiership titles, two FA Cups and two League Cups.
