The third match played by David Beckham for AC Milan turned out to be lucky for the English midfielder: in the 60th minute of the match against Bologna he opened his goalscoring account in the Italian championship.
Beckham scored the final goal of the match, latching on to a pass from Seedorf and knocking the ball into the net. Ancelotti's team gained a more than confident 4-1 victory over Bologna.
This goal improved Beckham's rating, which had plummeted after his performances in the USA championship (a tournament that does not count towards FTBL ratings). He now has 47.39 points to his credit.
The former England captain admitted that the goal was extremely important to him. "This goal is special for me, as is playing in this great team. I feel great here - I'm playing at a club that has wanted to sign me for many years, and I'm playing for exceptional fans. I'm definitely staying in Milan till March, then I'll make a decision on my future", said Beckham after the game.
