Karlsruhe’s forward Sebastian Freis became the star of the 19th tour of the German Bundesliga when he first helped his team level the game with Hamburg after trailing 2-0, before scoring the winning one with a few minutes left to go, enabling Karlsruhe to bring home a hard-fought victory of 3-2.
The game helped Freis increase his rating by more than 40 points and vault to the 5th place amongst German forwards.
But his overall rating of 89.37 remains to humble for the Bundesliga. The leader here is another star of the 9th tour, Miroslav Klose of Bayer Munich. Klose scored twice against Borussia Dortmund, increasing his rating by 30 points, to 159.21 points.
Mladen Petrich, who until then led the table, was sent off and found himself in 5th place. His fall helped Freis. Petrich was sent off precisely in the match against Karlsruhe.
