David Villa had no time to celebrate his FTBl leadership position in the Spanish league before he lost it after Valencia’s defeat to Asasuna 0-1 in La Liga.
Villa lost 20.51 points after the game, and the best forwards are now Thierry Henry, with 198.70 points, and Raul, with 184.60 points. Villa has now 182.89 points.
In addition, Raul, whose form seems to increase from game to game, has now grabbed the top spot from Villa in the national rating of best forwards.
Villa was superb January 3 against Atletico, opening the score, and Valencia winning comfortably 3-0. But as it appears, the ceiling of 23.90 points set by Villa in that game was too much even for him.
Valencia will host Malaga in the next round, but Villa is unlikely to have much reprieve: the number 18.o points will loom big in his mind.
Villa is followed closely in the world rating by the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who trails only by 1.16 points.
