Seven Manchester United players are in the FTBL world Top-23 rating, leading in all categories.

Van der Saar (pictured) leads amongst goalies with a rating of 152.35 points. Nemanja Vidic tops the list of best defenders with a rating of 153.84. Wayne Rooney is best among forwards, with 206.77 points. Finally, the best footballer in the world –he is also the best midfielder at the moment – is Christiano Ronaldo, with 238.23 points.

Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra are another two Man U players in the Top-23 (149.69 and 129.95 respectively), as well as striker Dmitar Berbatov, with 181.34 points.

Only Barcelona seem to be remotely challenging the reign of Manchester United at the club level. The Catalans have five players in the Top-23: Goal keeper Victor Valdez (122.40); halfbacks Lionel Messi (192.17), Xavi (163.56), and Andres Iniesta (140.39); as well as forward Henri (198.70).

Four of Inter Milan’s players are also in the Top-23: Zanetti (129.23), Maicon (126.11), Cambiaso (135.53), and Ibrahimovic (181.73). Three play in Real Madrid: Casilas (144.82), Sergio Ramos (145.99), and Raul (184.60).

Liverpool, AC Milan, Aston Villa, and Valencia all have just one player in the Top-23.
