Former Manchester United players Ole Gunnar Solskjær (R) and Mark Dempsey attend a news conference in Molde, Norway November 9, 2010. Solskjær was presented as the new manager and Dempsey as the new coach of Molde FK finished 11th in the Norwegian Tippeligaen this season.
Known as a "Super Sub" in MU for his knack of coming off the bench to score last-minute goals, Solskjær's defining moment in football came in injury time of the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final where he came off the bench to score the winning goal in stoppage time to beat Bayern München 2-1.
“I think that his career as an outstanding professional footballer gives him a foundation to get into coaching,” stated the Premier League club’s manager Alex Ferguson. “He’s had a great introduction with our reserves and this is the right time for Ole to take up his first managerial position.”
