Sevilla FC star striker and Malian international Frederic Kanoute (pictured) had a hat-trick in La Liga action Saturday night as his team destroyed Valladolid 4:1. The forward earned an incredible 46.60 rating points in the game, which has allowed him to muscle his way into the list of best world football players, with 188.45 points.
Kanoute opened the score 8 minutes into the game when he kept his cool to beat the Valladoid goal keeper in a one-on-one encounter. Valladolid had no intention of giving up and came back at the 20th, when Henok Goitom headed in a cross to the far post. But the Malian international had returned the lead to his side before the end of the first half with a beautiful shot after a first attempt by Jesus Navas was deflected by the Valladolid goalie.
Brazilian international Luis Fabiano momentarily stole the show in the second half, grabbing one at the 57th minute, which brought him a cool 20.91 rating points. He now has 133.50 overall. Fabiano could have made a double had his shot not found the post. Kanute put an end to the destruction of Valladolid at the 70th, when he headed in his third in his beloved style. Sevilla are now firmly in third place in the standings, and all looks set for a finish in that position.
