Manchester City are not prepared to sell Carlos Tevez during the January transfer window.
The Argentina international rocked the Eastlands outfit at the weekend when he handed in a written transfer request.
That was swiftly and firmly rejected by Roberto Mancini's men, who were also quick to blame Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian for attempting to renegotiate his contract in the middle of the season.
The former West Ham and Manchester United forward, who still has three-and-a-half-years of his five-year contract remaining, was quick to respond, blaming a breakdown in his relationship with 'certain executives and individuals'.
Tevez has proved to be a key player for City following his arrival after leaving Old Trafford in the summer of 2009, scoring an impressive 33 goals in a mere 50 Premier League outings.
He is seen as an integral figure in the club's drive for glory at home and abroad with the massive financial backing of owner Sheikh Mansour and was handed the captain's armband by Mancini for the current season.
His all-action displays and regular goalscoring contributions have made the South American an instant hero with the Eastlands faithful, particularly after he turned his back on United to move across the City.
Tevez is expected back at the club's Carrington training ground on Tuesday having been allowed to spend a few days in Tenerife after being granted some time away from the club due to the suspension which ruled him out of Saturday's 3-1 success away to his former club West Ham.
