Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is hopeful Steven Gerrard (pictured; 126.16 points FTBL rating) will return for the visit of his former club Fulham.
Gerrard has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in England's defeat to France last month.
The Reds skipper was always pencilled in for a return against Fulham at Anfield, but Hodgson has set him a deadline of being back in training by Thursday if he is to play this weekend.
"Steven's on track for the weekend," Hodgson told the club's official website.
"He's worked very hard to get back and Steven and Jamie Carragher are the type who hate not playing".
