Roy Hodgson's future as Liverpool manager remains in the balance with the Premier League side 'very discouraged' by recent results.
The Anfield outfit have struggled badly this season following Hodgson's appointment as the replacement for Rafa Benitez in the summer.
Home defeats at the hands of Blackpool and Wolves have seen large sections of the Reds faithful turn on their manager and call for a return of club legend Kenny Dalglish. One fan took further action by spraying 'Hodgson Out' on a wall outside the Melwood training ground.
Wednesday night's miserable 3-1 defeat at Blackburn was the club's fourth successive reverse on the road and left them 12th in the table, only four points above the relegation zone they briefly occupied earlier this season.
A senior Liverpool source has told that the club's owners have yet to decide on Hodgson's future, but that they are 'very discouraged' by recent results.
New owner John W Henry's New England Sports Ventures, who are now known as Fenway Sports Group, took control at Anfield earlier this season and immediately gave their backing to the former Fulham manager.
But an anticipated upturn in fortunes at the end of the Tom Hicks and George Gillett era has failed to materialise and Hodgson has seen his position come under ever-increasing scrutiny.
