The plot thickens in the French championship. The leading teams all won, so there were no substantial changes at the top of the table, with Lyon still leading the way.

Lyon’s convincing 3-1 victory over Le Mans was largely down to the team’s main strike force: Karim Benzema (pictured), who gained more than 30 points in this match, still leads the list of the best strikers in the French championship with 151.96 points.

He is followed in the list by Marseille striker Mamadou Niang, who has 134.52 points. Two goals in the 3-0 win over St. Etienne enabled the Senegalese to gain over 30 points in the match, and Marseille now trail Lyon by only one point in the league table.

In third place are Bordeaux, who were 1-0 winners over Nancy. The goal was scored by Marouane Chamakh, who gained 27.10 points and is also among the best players in the French league with 119.42 points.
