Real Madrid struggled mightily at home to come back and secure a 3:2 win over Getafe. Gonzalo Higuain’s double saved the day. The Argentine is now in the World Top 23 with 141.40 points.

Higuain has boosted his rating by approximately 40 points; the 32.05 rating points he earned in the game added to the 7.80 he lost in the Champions League match against Liverpool (0:4).

All began catastrophically for Real when Roberto Soldado found the net of his former side in the 10th minute. He could have added a second had he not wasted a further excellent opportunity. Real began regaining the initiative soon after, and they were able to level the score through Higuain before half time.

The game gained in intensity in the second half, but the best was to come at the end: Getafe first grabbed the lead once more at the 84th minute through Juan Angel Albin,
but Guti leveled the score once again with a stunning free kick about a minute later, before Javier Casquero’s penalty was saved by Real keeper Iker Casillas.

Higuain brought Real the victory in injury time with a stunning strike through the near post that found the net.
