Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick and Bordeaux playmaker Yoann Gourcuff (pictured right) pushed AC Milan star Kaka out of our FTBL Top 23 rating of world best midfielders after scoring both in their respective leagues.
Carrick netted the winner for the Red Devils in their Premier League encounter yesterday against Wigan (2:1) and earned 13.19 rating points in the process. The England international has now moved up from 8th to 7th place in our rating of the world’s best midfielders with 152.22 points over all.
France international Yoann Gourcuff, who has been displaying splendid form lately, scored at the 83rd minute against Valenciennes to help his side to a hard-fought 1:2 win. Gourcuff has scored in his last three appearances, boosting his overall rating to 147.35 points to join our Top 23 for the first time.
Brazil star Kaka is just a few points behind Gourcuff (146.06) and could well reclaim his spot in the Top 23 next Sunday when the Rossoneri travel to Udinese.
