Manchester United’s complaining forward Carlos Tevez has scored for his second appearance from the bench in a row, earning 10 rating points in his side’s 2:1 victory over Wigan. The Argentine has now overtaken Uruguayan Luis Suarez in our FTBL rating of best South American football players and, with 144.70 points over all, is now poised to overtake Brazilian Robinho, who has 157.1 points at the moment.
Tevez will have a plank of 13.61 rating points to beat in United’s upcoming game against Arsenal in the Premier League, while Robinho will have to earn 12.30 rating points when Manchester City play Tottenham. United will be looking to clinch their third consecutive Premier League title, while City will be fighting for a European football berth against Spurs.
If City lose and Robinho fails to score, Tevez could overtake the Brazilian. Tevez will see his chances greatly increase if Man United win and he scores at least a goal.
