The world’s best rated player at the moment—Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan—will face his next and final test in La Liga this season when his side take on Alameria: his plank to beat will be a high 25.80 rating points, which he set in the 3:1 win over Sporting Gijon by grabbing the opener.
The Uruguayan has more than 300 points, miles ahead of his main rivals: one of those rivals, Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o, trails by a whopping 100 points (201.19 points)!
Forlan, who will probably remain at the top of our rating, has scored 31 goals this season and will, probably, be crowned top goal scorer of La Liga; Eto’o, who has scored 29, is unlikely to play in the last game for Barcelona. Meanwhile, Valencia striker David Villa, who has 141.97 points over all, will have an excellent chance to boost his tally: his plank to beat is 10 rating points. A hat-trick (which Villa is capable of) will return Villa in the Top 23 for La Liga and allow him to draw level with Eto’o on the number of goals scored.
