Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan completed his fantastic season in La Liga with a rating of 333.72 points, a record, despite a season debut that far from presaged such a terrific finale. Despite having been in the FTBL Top 23 for La Liga for most of the season, Forlan navigated far from the top echelon and even spend almost the entire month of April out of it.
His game really took off in May, when the Uruguayan forward began scoring in every game, culminating in his final goal in his side’s 3:0 win over Alameria in the last round of the 2089-2009 campaign.
Forlan is followed in the rating by Barcelona strikers Samuel Eto’o (202.88 points) and Thierry Henry (183.06 points), who both had equally fabulous seasons.
