The Czech league’s rating is unusually low at 579.61 points over all even for a league with a coefficient of 1. This low rating reflects the absence of enough high-caliber players in the league, which is understandable given that most talented Czech players have long been lured away by financially more powerful and prestigious clubs.

The leader in the rating, Slavia Praha forward Tomas Necid, has 41.09 points over all. Pavel Horvath of FC Victoria Plzen is the best rated midfielder with 31.37 points over all; Slavia’s Erich Brabec is the highest rated defender with 22.34 points; while Martin Vaniak, again of Slava Praha, is the highest rated goalkeeper with 18.44 points. Apparently, only the return of one of the exiled players could improve matters.
