Inter Milan and Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar could return in the FTBL World Top 23 of goalkeepers during the Confederations Cup in South Africa as early as after the first match against Egypt by pushing out Chelsea’s Petr Cech.
With a rating of approximately 113 points, Cesar will have a plank of just 4 rating points to beat, and a return in the elite will be guaranteed if he keeps his slate clean in the back.
Barcelona defender Dani Alves will likewise attempt to hold on to his spot in the elite: he has a plank of 7.40 rating points to beat. Man United’s Nemaja Vidic is likely to exit the Top 23 until August, when his return to competition is scheduled. Despite having been the most stable defender in the last season, Vidic is likely to be pushed out of the Top 23 by Spain’s Capdevila and Carles Puyol solely on account of lack of competition with, maybe, Alves’s help.
