FC Groningen forward Marcus Berg will have to overcome a high plank of 23.63 rating points when Sweden meet Italy in the European Youth Championship. Berg had a hat-trick in Sweden’s 5:1 trashing of Belarus in their group-stage opener. He earned 25 rating points for the effort.
With an overall rating of 128 points at the moment, Berg will be facing an Italian team obviously a lot tougher than Belarus, and he could well lose rating points, in which case he will be overtaken in the rating of Swedish forwards by Werder Bremen’s Markus Rosenberg, who trails for now by 37 rating points.
Berg has scored 2 goals in his last two appearances and earned 50 rating points in the process.
