Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the leader in the FTBL rating among forwards in the Italian Serie A and Swedish players throughout the season with 197.45 points, has surprised many by deciding to stay with the Nerazzurri despite healthy interest from other reputed European clubs.
Ibrahimovic would have certainly played a leading role had he chosen to join either Chelsea or FC Barcelona, two of the teams that have openly voiced interest in him. For one, he could have outperformed Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who has 189.81 points at the moment and is the highest rated forward of the English Premier League.
But the Swede would have had to settle for 4th place among forwards in La Liga, where Atletico Madrid’s Diego Forlan leads with 268.43 points, Valencia’s David Villa is 2nd with 208.69 points, and Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano is 3rd with 208.54 points.
