Croatian forward Ivica Olic, who will be joining Bayern Munich next season, remains the highest rated player at Hamburg, but FC Groningen's Sweden international Marcus Berg (pictured), who is being touted as a possible target for Hamburg, could slip in the Croatian’s clothes if a deal is done.
According to the De Telegraaf, Berg has already signed a five-year deal with Hamburg, but there has been no official confirmation of the deal so far.
Berg had an excellent run at the end of last season and the U-21 European Championship with Sweden, scoring goals. He has been picking up 10.35 rating points on average per match, and his overall rating, as a consequence, has shot up to 134.88points.
Olic, whose tally prints at 139.72 points, has been a leader at Hamburg throughout the season. His closest rival in the team is forward Mladen Petric with 108.09 points.
