Real Madrid have now apparently turned their sight and attention in their unbridled spending spree towards AS Roma midfielder and Italy international Daniele De Rossi, for whom they are reportedly ready to part with 30 million euro. A move to Real would put De Rossi, who has a rating of 106.57 points at the moment, behind only Brazil superstar Kaká (167.14 points) in the FTBL rating of Real midfielders.
De Rossi is likewise 2nd in our ranking of Italian midfielders, behind Udinese’s Gaetano D’Agostino (129.03 points). He tops the rating at Roma at the moment.
Real Madrid are looking to compensate for the failure to lure Liverpool's Xabi Alonzo, whose price tag of 47 million euro apparently scared them off. Alonso’s rating is higher than De Rossi’s at 143.01 points. The Spaniard is firmly in the top echelon of the world’s best midfielders.
