Stiff Competition at City Sends Caicedo to Sporting on Loan

Manchester City’s Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo (pictured) will spend the next season at Sporting C. P. in Portugal on loan, obviously due to the intense competition in Mark Hughes team, which has loaded up on forwards during the off season. But if the move will result in Caicedo facing less competition for a place in the first team, it is unlikely to make life easier for him.

Caicedo has an overall FTBL rating of 71.72 points at the moment, which means he will trail Brazilian Liedson (120.04 points) at Sporting and will be within reach of Derlei, another Brazilian with a rating of 65 at the moment, and Portuguese international Helder Postiga (48.70 points).

Liedson is the indisputable leader at Sporting, with an average rating points take per game of 11.27, a star index of 11.3%, and individual contribution to the rating of 34.2%. Caicedo will therefore set to battle Derlei and Postiga for the remaining berth at the front.
