As CSKA Moscow lost 1:2 to Spartak Moscow in one of the most charged derbies in the Russian Premier League, Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev lost his top spot in the FTBL ranking to his rival from Spartak, Croatian Stipe Pletikosa.
Akinfeev lost 18 rating points in the game and has seen his tally shrink to 53.10 points to Pletikosa’s 54.33. The CSKA keeper had a high plank of 17.25 rating points to beat in the game. He set the plank in the Russia – Finland game, which he ended without conceding a goal.
Pletikosa, who until last April was not even making the starting lineup at Spartak, has managed to push aside rival Soslan Dzhanaev, who is struggling to regain form with a rating of just 30.5 points.
