Spain international Daniel Güiza (pictured), who has been the highest FTBL-ranked forward in the Turkish league with Fenerbahçe SK despite obvious adaptation problems, is reportedly on the verge of signing a deal that would see him join French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon.
Güiza has topped the FTBL ranking of forwards in Turkey for approximately 6 months now with a tally of 140.97 points. He is 25th in our world ranking of strikers. The Spaniard has an individual contribution to the rating factor of 43.7%, one of the highest in the world. For comparison, the best striker in the world, Atletico Madrid’s Uruguay international Diego Forlan, has an individual contribution factor of 39.1%.
If the transfer is successful, Güiza will be the highest rated player at Lyon, ahead of Argentine Lisandro López (118.25 points). Güiza would be in 4th place in our ranking of forwards in the French league.
