Wolfsburg will begin the defense of their title against Stuttgart when the German Bundesliga kicks off in the coming days, with Bosnian international Edin Dzeko, the best FTBL-rated European striker at the moment, facing a tricky plank of 45 rating points to beat.

With a tally of 251.93 points at the moment, Dzeko is a whopping 45 rating points ahead of his nearest rival, Valencia’s David Villa (206.49 points). With such a high plank, the Bosnian is more likely than not to lose rating points, as he will undoubtedly find it hard to beat his own performance against 1899 Hoffenheim last season, in which his hat-trick helped his side to a 4:0 victory.

It is therefore far from certain that the Bosnian will retain his leadership after the season opener in the Bundesliga, especially if Stuttgart pull off an upset.
