Bordeaux’s up and coming star midfielder Yoann Gourcuff (pictured) began the season with a brace as his side trashed Lens 4:1 and rose to the 5th place in the FTBL world ranking of midfielders with 154.41 points.
The France international picked up a whopping 31.70 rating points for his performance and is now comfortably ensconced among the best in the world.
Gourcuff is now 1st in our ranking of French midfielders and French Ligue 1 midfielders. He trails only Chelsea’s Frank Lampard (214.19 points), Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard (181.04 points), Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (179.39 points), and Real Madrid’s Kaká (159.65 points) in the FTBL world ranking.
