German side Bayern Munich remain interested in signing Chelsea’s Portuguese defender Jose Bosingwa (pictured), according to The Telegraph, a British newspaper. We take a look at the defender’s position at Chelsea and whether he should take the plunge.
Bosingwa has an overall FTBL rating of 111.72 points at the moment, which puts him in 9th place in our world ranking of defenders. At Stamford Bridge, the Portugal international more or less competes for first-team action with compatriot Paulo Ferreira (32.07 points), Serb Branislav Ivanovic (71.74 points), and Brazilian Beletti (34.49 points), though all of them considerably trail him rating-wise.
On the other hand, if Bosingwa is looking for absolute comfort, a move to Bayern will make him the undisputed leader in defense at the club: his only credible rival in the position of left-back will be German international Christian Lell, who has an overall FTBL rating of just 53.39 points at the moment.
