West Ham United goalkeeper and England international Robert Green (pictured) consolidated his position a the top of the FTBL ranking of British goalkeepers as he conceded no goals in his side’s 2:0 away win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in Premier League debut action yesterday.
Green captured the lead in the ranking back in June after convincing performances with England against Kazakhstan (4:0) and Andorra (6:0). He earned 11.9 rating points in the game against the Wolves to boost his tally to 83.76 points.
In the FTBL world ranking of goalkeepers Green ranks 15th, with only three English Premier League goalkeepers ahead of him: Liverpool’s José Reina (135 points), Manchester United’s Edwin van der Sar (117.84 points), and Chelsea’s Petr Cech (117.79 points). Green is guaranteed a bonus of 2.7 rating points in the next game and could further add to his tally.
