Wolfsburg’s Bosnian international Zvjezdan Misimovic (pictured) has captured a spot in the FTBL World Top 23 of midfielders with robust performances in the first two rounds of his new Bundesliga campaign.
Wolfsburg, who are the title holders, began the season in style with a 2:0 win over Stuttgart, followed by a 3:1 downing of FC Köln, with Misimovic playing a key role by scoring against Stuttgart. His overall FTBL rating has now soared to 147.01 points.
Misimovic is now the best midfielder in the Bundesliga on our chart, while he ranks 6th in the FTBL World ranking of midfielders, behind Chelsea’s Frank Lampard (211.86 points), Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (175.16 points), Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard (159.56 points), Real Madrid’s Kaká (158.33 points), and Xavi (152.55 points), another Barcelona playmaker.
