Arsenal’s France international William Gallas has returned from the injury that sidelined him for most of the second haft of last season with impressive form, scoring in each of the first three games of the new season. With an overall FTBL rating of 117.15 points at the moment, the Frenchman is firmly among the top defenders in the Premier League.
Gallas began his goal-scoring run right from the season opener when the Gunners crushed Everton 6:1. He earned 17 rating points in the FTBL system for his effort.
A second goal followed in the first leg of the Champions League playoff round against Celtic FC, which Arsenal also won 2:0. Against Portsmouth in Premier League action Gallas scored a third goal in a 4:1 win, earning another 17 rating points.
In the second leg of the Champions League playoff round against Celtic, the France international will have a plank of just 3.44 rating points to beat, which suggests he should be able to add still to his tally. Another win will power Gallas into the world's elite of defenders.
