Spartak Moscow’s Brazilian striker Welliton (pictured right) further consolidated his lead in the FTBL ranking in the Russian Premier League with a brace against Terek Grozny in league action in the weekend. He picked up 21.45 rating points on top of a 17-point bonus to take his overall tally to 107.55 points.
Welliton is just a few points shy from the bottom of our top tier of Brazilian strikers.
The Brazilian is currently the only player in the Russian league with a tally of more than 100 points. His nearest rival is Rubin’s Aleksandr Bukharov, who has a tally of 90.87 points. Bukharov failed to score in Rubin’s 3:0 win over Dinamo Moscow, but the victory earned him 10 rating points. Teammate Alejandro Domínguez scored twice from the penalty spot, earning 18 rating points to take his tally to 72.41 points and capture a spot in the FTBL Top 23 of the league.
