Arsenal’s Russian forward Andrei Arshavin (pictured right) and Dutch international Robin van Persie could use today’s return leg of their Champions League playoff game against Celtic FC to enter the top tier of the FTBL ranking of forwards in the English Premier League.
The Russian international currently has an FTBL rating of 150.87 points, while van Persie has 148.02 points. With a strong performance tonight, the two could edge Manchester City’s Brazilian star Robinho (155.98 points) out of the elite group.
Arshavin has an admittedly high plank of approximately 17 rating points to beat tonight, while van Persie will face a slightly higher plank of approximately 18 rating points.
A victory tonight for the Gunners will do much good to Arshavin and van Persie, and if they are fortunate enough to score a goal, each, then a spot in the Premier League’s elite group of forwards will be more than assured.
