As Uruguayan striker Diego Forlán slipped from 1st to 3rd place in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers, letting Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko (217.76 points) and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (209.62 points) take the lead, another Atlético Madrid striker, Argentine Sergio Agüero, thanks to a goal against Panathinaikos in the second leg of a Champions League playoff game, climbed 8 steps up the rating to enter the FTBL Top 23 of La Liga with 173.84 rating points over all.
Agüero further has a good chance of breaking into the top tier of the FTBL World Ranking of strikers with the opening game of the season in La Liga if he is able to beat his plank of 15.66 rating points: immediate rival David Villa of Valencia will face a plank almost double that of Agüero.
Other leading world-class strikers likewise have daunting planks to beat this coming weekend, with Barcelona’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, in particular, facing a hurdle of 23 rating points. Others will have even higher planks to beat, which could open the door for Agüero.
