Arsenal’s Andrei Arshavin yesterday scored a goal to help the Gunners to a 3:1 comfortable win over Celtic FC in the second leg of their Champions League playoff game, but the Russian international still lost rating points in our system due the very little time he spent on the pitch actually playing (18 minutes).
Arshavin had a plank of 16.68 rating points to beat in the game, and he fell short of that target. He has dropped 6 steps in the FTBL ranking.
With an overall FTBL rating of 144.53 points at the moment, Arshavin has also dropped out of the top tier of the English Premier League, replaced by Tottenham Hotspur’s Jermain Defoe with a tally of 148.10 points. Dutch international Robin van Persie, who sat out the game against Celtic, has now replaced Arshavin as the highest FTBL-rated player at Arsenal with a tally of 148.02 points.
