VfB Stuttgart’s former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann kept his sheet clean in the return leg of the Champions League playoff game against Politehnica Timisoara (0:0) to earn 9 rating points in the FTBL system and return to the elite group of German top goalkeepers with a tally of 70.88 points. In fact, in the two legs of the playoff encounter, the Romanians proved unable to score a single goal against Lehmann (3:0 aggregate).

The former Germany international is already guaranteed a bonus of one rating point in his next appearance, when Stuttgart take on Hamburg in Bundesliga action. Lehmann currently trails Hamburg goalkeeper Frank Rost (75.93 points) in the FTBL ranking of German goalkeepers, but a better performance could allow him to finally overtake his competitor.

In the meantime, Lehmann remains behind Rost and number-two-ranked Manuel Neuer of Schalke 04, who has a tally of 91.59 points.
