Valencia star striker David Villa will face a daunting plank of 30 rating points to beat if he is included in the starting lineup when the Spanish side take on Stabaek in their Europa League second-leg encounter tonight. But chances are Villa will be rested, with Valencia going into the game 3 goals up after the first leg.
The high plank is a result of Villa’s performance against Iraq in the Confed Cup in South Africa, where he scored the only goal against combative Iraqis. If Villa fails to beat the plank, he will drop in our ranking and most likely exit the top tier of the FTBL World Ranking of strikers.
Villa currently has an overall FTBL rating of 184.41 points. He is followed closely by Chelsea’s Didier Drogba (175.07 points), who has been showing impressive form since the beginning of the season in the English Premier League.
