Suddenly, the position of Inter Milan’s Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o at the helm of the FTBL ranking of Serie A strikers appears a bit shaky.

Totti picked up a whopping 34.88 rating points in our system for his effort, beat his plank for the game, and boosted his overall FTBL rating to 163.42 points. He is now 2nd in the FTBL ranking of Serie A strikers, just 8 rating points behind leader Eto’o (171.61 points). In the FTBL World Ranking of strikers, Totti is now in 13th place.

Granted, Eto’o has played just one game for Inter so far in the Serie A, against Bari, in which he scored a goal from the penalty spot in a low-key 1:1 draw. The proxy battle between the two talented forwards promises to be captivating.
