The central fixture in the English Premier League this coming weekend will pitch champions Manchester United against Arsenal, while France’s current two best defenders Patrice Evra (pictured) and William Gallas will add a sideline as they jostle for the top spot in the FTBL ranking of French defenders.
United’s Evra, who has an overall FTBL rating of 104.61 points at the moment, will go into the game with a bonus of 1,1 rating points guaranteed, while Arsenal’s Gallas, who has 122.86 points, will have a tougher task as the Gunners need to win in order for him to avoid a slump. In particular, Gallas need to beat the 17.25 rating points he picked up in France’s 1:0 World Cup 2010 qualifier win over the Faeroe Islands.
Evra will take the top spot in the FTBL ranking of French defenders if United win, while a draw will bring the coveted spot closer, but not necessarily guarantee it.
