Real Madrid’s former Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema is already among the top six strikers in La Liga on the FTBL chart after playing just one game with the Merengues.

In Real’s 3:2 win over Deportivo in their season opener, Benzema picked up 13.9 rating points in our system to boost his FTBL rating to 159.52 points.

The France international is now 14th in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers and trails only Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka (172.68 points) and Barcelona’s Thierry Henry (159.86 points) in our ranking of French strikers.
