Napoli forward Fabio Quagliarella will have a realistic opportunity to boost his FTBL rating when the Squadra Azzurra take on Georgia in a World Cup 2010 qualifier on Saturday in Tbilisi. With a tally of 125.04 points at the moment, Quagliarella will face a plank of 10 rating points to beat, and a strong performance could net him the top spot in the FTBL ranking of Italian forwards.
Roma’s Francesco Totti now rules among Italian forwards with an overall FTBL rating of 140.79 points at the moment, and if Quagliarella can score, he could oust the Roma man. Totti has not been called to international duty.
Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi likewise has a good opportunity to add to his FTBL rating. He currently has a tally of 106.95 points and is so far not among the top Italian forwards on our chart.
Juventus’ Vicenzo Iaquinta will have the highest plank to beat at 20 rating points. With a tally of 102.13 points at the moment, even a goal and victory for Italy cannot guarantee a gain in the rating.
