Edin Dzeko, the man whose prolific goalscoring catapulted once modest Wolfsburg to the glory of the Bundesliga title last season and for a long time ruled in the FTBL World Ranking of strikers, will be handed an opportunity to regain lost ground, rating-wise, when the German champions take on CSKA Moscow in a Champions League group game tomorrow: he will have a plank of just 5 rating points to beat.
To return in the top FTBL Top 23, a victory for Wolfsburg will not be enough: the Bosnian international will need to score more than one goal. With an overall FTBL rating of 136.28 points at the moment, Dzeko needs more than 40 rating points to return in the top elite.
CSKA defender Sergei Ignashevich will be one of those who could make life hard for Dzeko. Ignashevich, who is the highest rated Russian player at the moment with an overall FTBL rating of 100.35 points, could himself use the cahnce to break into the Top 23. His plank for the game will be just around 6.6 rating points.
