Liverpool star striker and Spain international Fernando Torres (pictured) is just a sliver away from netting 1000 points in the FTBL football rating system.
Torres currently has an overall FTBL rating of 178.61 points, the bulk of which was achieved in his last five appearances. The rating points earned prior to those 5 games are multiplied by a coefficient of 0.1. If that coefficient is left aside, Torres will have 995.51 points. He is, therefore, likely to beat the 1000-point mark in his next game.
Few of Torres’ competitors in the world ranking of forwards can boast of such a feat. Only 7 out of the first 50 strikers on the chart have ever crossed the 1000-point mark: they are Valencia’s David Villa (1252.66 points), Cristiano Ronaldo (1224.82 points), Wayne Rooney (1184 points), Dirk Kuyt (1107.13 points), Samuel Eto’o (1136.8 points), Edin Dzeko (1072.94 points), and Diego Forlán (1047.69 points).
