Manchester United’s number-two keeper Ben Foster, as we predicted, has captured the top spot in the FTBL ranking of English goalkeepers despite conceded 3 goals in an epic thriller with city rivals Manchester City that ended with a narrow 4:3 win for the Red Devils.
The laborious win at Old Trafford earned Foster enough rating points to push his overall FTBL rating to 63.88 points. In a way, he owes this most of all to Michael Owen, who scored the winner.
Foster is now 6 rating points ahead of Arsenal’s Manuel Almunia (57.19 points). Birmingham City’s Joe Heart is in 3rd position with 56.13 points.
