Bundesliga: Hoffenheim’s Nigerian Striker Obasi Joins Elite Group

Hoffenheim’s young Nigerian Chinedu Obasi (pictured in a blue jersey), the talented forward of last season’s revelation in the Bundesliga, captured a spot among the top 6 forwards in the league for the first time in his young career as his side overwhelmed bottom-placed Hertha Berlin 5:1 in league action yesterday.

Obasi scored the fourth goal and was rewarded with 26 rating points in our system. He now has an overall FTBL rating of 138.04 points and is in 3rd place in the FTBL ranking of Bundesliga strikers, while he now tops the ranking of Nigerian strikers.

Bosnian Vedad Ibiševic, another Hoffenheim striker, is ever closer to a spot in the top 6. He netted three of the five goals in the game, picking up 33 rating points in reward. He now has an overall FTBL rating of 127.25 points, just 6 rating points shy of the coveted elite group.
