Prolific striker David Villa could use Valencia’s next league game against Racing Santander to beef up his FTBL rating, considering he will have a plank of just a single rating point to beat.
The Spain international, who has an overall rating of 191.99 points at the moment, lost approximately 11 rating points yesterday, despite the 3:2 home win over Genoa in the Europa League yesterday, because he could not beat the high plank of 31.90 rating points he had in the game, a goal notwithstanding.
The top striker in the world at the moment, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, could suffer the same fate, due to the knee injury he suffered in the Meregues’s 3:0 home win over Olympique Marseille: he might be forced to sit out Sunday’s league game at Sevilla.
Rating-wise, Ronaldo could even be better served by missing the game, as his plank to beat is a very high 30 rating points. With such a daunting plank, it might be quite hard for the Portuguese to avoid dropping points, especially if he plays at less than 100% of strength.
Villa could therefore well emerge as a viable contender for the top spot in the most prestigious ranking, since most of the remaining viable competition will face higher planks than his. And, by the way, Villa trails Ronaldo by more than 50 rating points at the moment.
