Manchester United’s Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov was one of the few to come out of the Red Devils’s near-flop at Old Trafford against Sunderland (2:2) yesterday with something positive: he scored United’s first goal and picked up 6.03 points in the FTBL system to approach the top tier of the FTBL ranking of Premier League ranking strikers.
Berbatov has an overall FTBL rating of 143.02 points at the moment, and he trails the best in the league by approximately 12 rating points.
Chelsea’s Nicolas Anelka (155.66 points), who rounds up the top 6 in the league, will have a plank of just 5 rating points going into tonight’s game against Liverpool. For Berbatov to move into that last spot in the top tier of the ranking, Chelsea will have to lose tonight.
