FC Porto’s Colombian Radamel Falcao has scored four goals in 3 games on the trot, and if he is able to find the net when Colombia take on Chile in a World Cup 2010 qualifier this weekend he could break into the top tier of the FTBL ranking of South American strikers.
In the game, Falcao will have a plank of just 0.38 rating points to beat. In his last game with Porto in the Portuguese league against SC Olhanense (3:0), he picked up approximately 25 rating points. He has earned more than 60 rating points in the last three games.
Falcao is currently 40 rating points from a spot in the South American Top 23 (111.14 points). But his low plank in the game can serve him well, given that Olympique Lyon’s Argentine Lisandro López (145.16 points) and Sevilla’s Brazilian Luís Fabiano (145.34 points), who sit a the bottom of the Top 23, will have higher planks in their qualifiers (22 and 26 rating points, respectively).
Falcao is the highest rated Colombian player in the FTBL system.
